With an interdisciplinary team, built a hybrid machine learning model based on Quantum Reservoir Computing to forecast air quality, addressing UN Sustainable Development Goal 3. Alongside the implementation we developed a business strategy and market approach for scaling quantum-driven solutions.
Overall Finalists and Second Place, Challenge 2 — Air Quality Forecasting. Organised by QAI Ventures, supported by QuantumBasel and IQM Quantum Computers.
Designed an optical communication protocol between two microcontrollers using laser pulse sequencing and photodiode reception for real-time signal encoding and decoding.
Designed Verilog modules for pulse sequencing, readout timing and control primitives to prototype components of a superconducting qubit control stack.
Built a distance detection system using an iCEBreaker FPGA and an ultrasonic sensor, with real-time distance classification and audio feedback.
